亲爱的BKIK大家庭，

Greetings from BKIK! So glad to see you back after the National Holiday! This week, we’re very proud of our young students. They have done a great job and made huge progress in our Safety Drill. It took them 10 minutes to evacuate the building on Wednesday morning. In the afternoon, it took them 4 and half minutes to get out of school and calmly make their way across the street.During the official Drill, which was observedby our local Fire service, the children were very impressive and evacuated thebuilding in 2 minutes and 50 seconds. Well done! Then the firemen demonstrated to our students and teachers how to put out a fire. They also allowed the children to look inside their fire truck and gave us an active lesson about Fire safety in our Multifunction Room.

大家好！很高兴看到孩子们在国庆节后平安回到天启！本周我们很为我们的孩子们感到自豪。在这周的消防演习逃生演练中，他们不但表现出色，还取得了显著的进步。周三上午最开始进行预演时，孩子们花了10分钟才逃离校舍，但在下午的二次预演时，只用了4分30秒孩子们就在老师们的带领下安全疏散到了学校对面的街道，而在周四的正式预演中，当消防车和消防员抵达我们的校园，整个疏散过程居然只用了2分50秒。孩子们的进步真大！随后消防员们为老师们和孩子们展示了如何使用灭火器灭火，并给孩子们展示并讲解了消防车的内部构造，以及各种消防工具和功能，最后在多功能室，消防中队的韦队长还用中英双语给孩子们上了一堂生动的消防常识课！预防火灾人人有责，从我做起，从小事做起。

The weather is now getting cooler and the sunshine was beautiful in the morning after the National holiday, so we now ask all students to go outside as soon as they have their morning check. They have 15 minutes of social play and then from 8:15, they participate in the morning exercise routine with our foreign homeroom teachers. The students are getting a lot of Vitamin D from the sunshine. I would like to ask all parents to encourage your child to get up earlier to take part in the morning exercise routine, to become healthier and well balanced.

节后的早晨 ，天气开始变得凉爽，阳光也不再炙热，孩子们来校晨检后，我们就请他们到户外开展活动。十五分钟的自由活动时间，是孩子们的社交玩耍时间，然后从8:15开始，我们的外籍教师们会带领孩子们做晨练，孩子们每天都能吸收更多的维生素D，提高免疫力。希望家长们都能鼓励孩子们早睡早起，按时到校，开展晨练，过更加健康和平衡的生活。

Next week is Lingnan Culture Week at BKIK, we have prepared a lot of Classes to allow our parents to work alongside their children, and experience the beauty of Lingnan Culture through our PYP Art class. We hope to see our parents in BKIK next week. The parent workshop, which is a focus on child development and using Positive Discipline skills, this Sunday Afternoon 14:00-17:00 pm is postponed due to the typhoon. The specific time of workshop will be further notified, please pay attention to the information released by admission office.

下周是学校的岭南文化周，主要是为了让孩子们体验中国岭南丰富多彩的文化特色，我们准备了开放日活动让家长们能参与到课堂之中，与孩子们共同通过PYP艺术课的形式领略岭南文化之美，希望下周能看到我们的家长们出现在我们的天启校园中。原定本周日下午两点到五点为家长们准备的走近PYP和分享正面管教技巧的工作坊因台风天延期，具体时间园方另行通知，请家长们留意招宣办发布的信息。

During this Seasonal transition, many children may experience a low fever, runny nose or diarrhea. Both parents and teachers are expected to pay more attention to the children's health routine and remind them to take more physical exercise. The school canteen will optimize their food menu as well. If your child has symptoms of discomfort, please take your child for medical treatment, or let them stay at home to be observed. If the school doctor suggests that your child should not enter the kindergarten in the Morning Check, please follow the instruction as we value the health and safety of all the members of our community. Thank you for your support in this matter.

季节转换，很多孩子有低烧、流涕或腹泻的现象，希望家长和老师们都更注意孩子们的卫生习惯，提醒孩子加强体育锻炼，学校饭堂也会优化食谱。如果您的孩子出现了不适症状，请您及时带孩子就医，或留在家中观察。晨间检查时，校医如果建议您的孩子暂不入园，请您谅解，并带孩子离园。感谢您的支持。

●Autumn is the infectious disease season, it’s better to avoid going to crowded places, and please remind your children to drink plenty of water, pay attention to hygiene and keep exercising.

Thanks to the ambassadors of last week who welcomed all the students at the front gate of the school. This week’s BKIK Ambassadors are as follows, the picture will be made up in next week’s newsletter.

In K1’s UOI class we discuss the relationship around us. K1A talked about who lives in my house and what color they like. K1B learned why and how to appreciate our family memebers.K1A also learned “Tall and Short” by building Legos in math class, and children enjoyed this activity a lot.

小班的探究单元正在认识自己与他人的关系，小一班学习家庭成员的称呼以及他们都喜欢些什么颜色，小二班学习为什么以及如何感恩家人。小一班还在数学课中通过堆叠乐高来认识“高和矮”的概念，在与“比谁高”的游戏活动中获得了很多乐趣。

PreK is learning basic shape like circle, triangle and square. K3 is learning celebrities, the past weeks they focused on Chinese traditional festival. They worked in groups to sort animals to discuss their order in the Zodiac, and wrote and printed numbers 1-5 both English and Chinese on the lanterns in math class. K2 practiced on how to be a good person and learned different ways to politely greet someone.  

其他各班的探究课程也在不断推进。小小班用生动的形式学习基本的图形。大班是“节庆与典礼”单元，最近专注学习中国的传统节日，他们通过分组认识十二生肖中的动物并讨论它们的排序,同时在数学课里通过在宫灯上写对应的英文与中文的数字来加深对传统事物的认识。两个中班的探究主题是人际关系，他们在探讨如何做一个好人，人们用什么方式有礼貌地跟人打招呼。

All classes had art activities relating to Lingnan culture, which was a warming up for next week.

各班美术活动无不在为下周的岭南文化周预热。

We had a fire drill and children evacuated the building with teachers

safe and fast. Well done!

孩子们在老师们的带领下安全疏散，顺利完成此次消防逃生演练。

The firemen allowed the children to look inside their fire truck and demonstrated each part of the fire truck to our students and teachers. We listened carefully.

消防员给我们展示并讲解了消防车的内部构造和消防工具的用途,我们都认真听着。

The firemen also gave us an active lesson about Fire safety and we learned a lot. Thank you firemen!

最后在多功能室，消防中队的韦队长还给孩子老师们上了一堂生动的消防常识课！通过本次逃生演练和学习，我们懂得了不少消防知识，谢谢消防队员们！
