Dear BKIK Friends and Family,

 亲爱的BKIK家人和朋友们，

Wow! That first section of the School year has certainly flown by…..it has been a wonderful and productive first term at BKIK.

  哇!本学期的第一个月过得很快，很精彩！

Please note there are some important announcements we would like you to be aware of:

 以下有一些公告，我希望各位注意查看的：

Enhanced Communication加强沟通

As promised and alluded to in previous newsletters, open communication is the key to most of the School’s (and the World’s!) problems. We are in the process of embracing Toddle whilst simultaneously managing our WeChat connections.  It is not our intention to purposely inconvenience or confuse you but rather to enhance the education journey of your children at our School.

正如之前的每周一封信中所承诺的那样，开放的交流是学校（乃至全世界）的主流问题。我们正在慢慢过渡到Toddle软件的使用同时也更好地运用我们的微信软件进行家校沟通。

We apologize if the wording was inaccurate from any of our respective classes regarding this important issue. The Class WeChat groups will remain attended by our class teachers until we are confident (as a whole School) in the convenience and use of Toddle from you, our valued parents.   

之前班群里发通知的措辞有点强硬或不一致，我们深表歉意，微信将继续作为班上老师和家长之间的沟通方式，直到家长们能够灵活使用Toddle，同时校方对您的使用充满信心，我们再继续推进。

For anything/everything else, the BKIK Academic Staff will still be available via face to face communication at drop-off/pick up, Toddle, emails, student handbooks, AND WeChat (see below).

对于孩子们的任何事情，BKIK的教学团队仍然会以上下学面对面沟通、Toddle软件、电子邮件、学生手册以及微信进行家校交流。（见以下表格）

For now, we sincerely hope the table below clears up any confusion about the existing means of communication between School and parent:

We have listened to much of your feedback and reports regarding our new software, Toddle. In cooperation with the PTA and the School SLT, we are in the process of organizing in-person Toddle training workshops and regular parent visits to classes (for extra photos) for ALL BKIK parents between now and Christmas as well as working on a formal school communication policy document that will outline our communication obligations to you as well as the responsibilities and expectations of you, our supportive and wonderful parents.

  我们已经听取了很多家长们使用Toddle后的反馈意见。

我们正准备学校SLT和家代相结合，举行一系列Toddle软件的培训，预计在圣诞节前完成，以及邀请每一位BKIK的家长在特定的时间进班观课以及拍照，并且我们将制定一份正式的学校沟通的政策文件，概述我们对您的沟通义务以及您的责任和期望，感谢各位家长的支持。

We are also going to be surveying the parents about their other preferred methods of communication so we can further improve and enhance our renowned service here at BKIK. We look forward to sharing that with you soon. I would like to personally thank you all in advance for checking your Toddle and email accounts every morning and afternoon to better help with the sharing of information. 我们还将调查家长们对家校交流方式的偏好，以便我们能进一步改进和提高我们BKIK的服务。我们期待着尽快与您分享。我个人要提前感谢大家每天早上和下午查看您的电子邮件以及Toddle，以便更好地帮助分享信息。

In the best interests of enhanced communication this weekly Principal’s newsletter will also now be broadcast to each of the parent WeChat groups as well as our School WeChat account (every week). 为了加强沟通，每周的园长一封信也将会在微信家长群以及微信公众号发布。

I will also release a school video very soon reiterating what has just been said.

 我也会很快发布一段学校视频，重申上述所讲的内容

This has been finished and finalized and I will be distributing this in due course via our one on one “Operation Reach Out” meetings. 家长手册即将完成，我们将很快发给每一位家长。

The week before our holidays we were honoured to have a visit by Professor Zhong and President Sun – extremely well qualified and experienced VIPs within the Kingold organization, especially with regards to the education department. It was wonderful to get their insights and guidance to BKIK moving forward as beacon international school.

 节前，我们荣幸地邀请了侨鑫总部资历极高、经验丰富的仲教授和孙总来我园指导，很高兴得到他们的共识，BKIK朝国际学校的方向迈进。

Last but not least, we hope you have had a wonderful “Golden Week” holiday with our students and your respective families. We also hope you enjoyed eating the making mooncakes which your children made in class last week .We will be doing a flag raising ceremony very soon (and also once a month after that) to help commemorate and celebrate the National Holiday.  最后，我希望你们都过了一个美好的黄金周。我希望你们喜欢吃节前我们在班上做的月饼.另外，我们将举行升旗仪式庆祝我们的国情活动，并计划以后每月进行一次升旗仪式。

As always, your child (our Student’s safety) is of paramount importance to us, especially in light of recent events. If you see of or hear anything please communicate with your class teachers or myself directly. We are here to educate and serve but also to protect.

 一如既往，您的孩子（我们学生的安全）对我们至关重要，尤其是考虑到最近发生的社会事件。如果您看到或听到任何消息，请直接与您的班主任或我本人沟通。我们来这里是为了教育和服务，同时也是为了保护孩子们的安全。
